Help designing sub box for Tundra Crewmax.

Hey guys.... I am starting the buildout on my 08 Toyota Tundra Crewmax. I started off trying two Digital Design 8" subs. However the sub box has to be too deep. I was willing to give up 2-3 clicks on the back seat, but with the 8"s I have to give up 6 clicks. And the subs sound really hollow and echo-ish at low volumes. I have had many systems without worrying about space but this one is a little more challenging. I want a system that sounds good at low volumes like when the kids are in the truck but I also want it to slam when I crank it up.

I was thinking about going to a shallow mount sub but I have heard goo and bad things about them... So I am not sure what route to go.

Here is what I am looking for....

Subs that slam

Shallow mount or minimum space needed.

Sounds good at low volumes.

memphis makes a sick shallow mount like 3 "

and Jl 's is only 2.5"

both will wang

those are two Jl 13.5's they banged @ low volume and only req .6 ft^3 each but memphis makes theirs in 10" and 12"

Hey bruv.. what did you end up doing? I am about to build an enclosure for my 08 crewmax as well. I was thinking about doing 2 POWER ACOUSTIK 13" slim line.. I believe its thin-13. Let me know what you did and what subs you went with and pics if you have any.. thanks in advance.
