Im going to be leaving for college mid spetember, and i dont really know what I should bring to my dorm to have a good time. I kno their alot of students on this forum so i would like your opinion. I just bought a new HP lap top and a home audio system to go with it

Maybe a gaming system if your into that there tends to be a lot of people that like to get high and play games. Dont forget the fridge so you have plenty of space to keep the beer cold.

a decent TV....but keep it in your room not the living room ( i live in an apartment and nice stuff should stay away from where the majority of people will be) what kinda dorm are you living in... i was in a dorm that was all guys and girls with singles freshman year it was sick

Yeah....keep the nicer shit in your room.....like ^ said. Escpecially the smaller things (ipod, PSP, jewelry, ect.)(the small expensive shit that can easily fit in your pocket) if you plan on having a bunch of people over.

Yea the dorms pretty big and it comes with a regular size refrigerator. I was also looking into a kegerator but i dont kno if the RA's would like that. Thats also what i Need is a really nice TV

Don't waste your money on the kegerator. While some RA's might be more strict than others, your gonna get the boot real quick with that in there.

As for stuff to bring for entertainment...video games. Every floor will have kids gettin high and then playing halo, madden, tiger woods, etc

As silly as this may sound, a candle warmer. Since most dorms don't allow open flames, get a candle warmer to make your room smell good. I know that my freshman dorm was the size of a shoebox, and started to smell like BO after a while. The candle was actually really nice.

Stuff to organize your room.

Depending on how large it is, and what's already part of the room...

Shelf organizers, closet organizers, bookshelf, tupperware containers, separate shelving units, etc.

Also, a microwave if you can have one in your room (i had one even though we weren't supposed to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif), power strips so you can plug in multiple things from one outlet.

Also, don't forget silverware, dishes, pots and pans, and the like. Basically stuff to cook things in.

I'll probably think of more stuff later as I remember what I wish I had my first week of college. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

on your first week find a thick/chubby nerdy girl who can cook and will wash your clothes. make sure to spend a couple days a week with her and your gold for your first year. They'll love cooking you dinner and washing your clothes weekly and giving a piece on the side (if needed).
