Shit... did I blow my amp?

I'm not loud at all?!?
Was driving around, had the stereo up kinda high. Right before I pulled into the place I was going, I turned it down. As I turned it down I heard a "pop" like it will do when you hook up the wires from the sub into the amp.

Then my amp kept going into protect... it would turn on, the sub would thump once, and then it would go back into protect. I checked all my wiring and fuses, and could not find anything wrong with them(plus, if I blew a fuse the amp would not even try to turn on).

So I pulled the amp out of the car and took the cover off. As you can see by the pics, one of the connections going into the circuit board is black and burnt looking, and all the rest are just fine looking. I know the pics are blurry, but I hope you can see what I am talking about. I will try to see if I can get my camera to take some better pics.

But does it look like I blew my amp? BTW... it is a Massive Audio P1500.1

****... thats what I was worried about. How much does something like this cost to repair? The amp doesn't have a warranty on it, so I would have to send it elsewhere or buy a new amp.

And just because I get curious when things happen, what causes a "fet" to blow?

Looks easy enough to fix, look up the p/n on the other fets and look it up online, order a few.

While you're at it, check for any other blown parts.

Just solder them in from the top. If the amp doesnt work after that, then oh well, but if it does, you have a $5 fix!

What he said. Cant hurt to try and fix your self.

i would check your other fets to make sure they are not bad too also. i have seen some ohmed out bad but weren't burnt
How exactly can I check them?

Also, I'm not too confident in my soldering capabilites... so it will either be send it out or a buy a new amp.
