shipping a subwoofer box

I just put card board on the corners, and wrap it up in plastic then ship it out, lowes has free plastic sitting outside, shipped lots of boxes like this no problems

UPS and Fedex are within a few bucks every time and as mentioned, there is no cheap way. They tend to get dropped in shipping too, so make sure you get the insurance!

I do, hang on a sec

You can...I pay a UPS packing store to do it since they do a much better job than I can and if it gets damaged in shipment, I get refunded for packing and shipping charges. My guy charges me $25 to package them...which is way better than wasting an hour of my time trying to do it.

I put foam pipe insulation that you can get at Home Depot on the corners and then wrap is with plastic. Averages out to about $10 per box for packaging. Shipping prices are the killer. All carriers are about the same price.
