:confused:Geez i am adding a component system to my car. The system is 120 rms, and comes with a pair if woofer, a pair of tweeters, and crossovers. Since there are 4 speakers do i need a four channel amps? Or do i need something else b/c there are crossovers? I also have some 6x9's that are 100w rms that i want to hook up to the same amp. Can i do this? I am open to all suggetsions.

Thanks

a 2 channel amp for the components. Each channel goes to a crossover and then the crossover goes to the woofer/tweeter. If you want to also power the 6x9's then you would need a 4 channel amp. 2 channels for the component set and 2channels for the 6x9's.

Thanks alot, is there a big difference between active and passive? All i know is that it allows you to determine frequency before or after the amp. I was thinking passive because of the 6x9's, but i dont know much so fill me in.

The 6x9 are on the rear deck. I was thinking i would mount the tweeters like on the door or somewhere on the dash were wiring would be easy. The woorfers would go in the doors havent decided front or back.
