Clippers are a really bad idea, they tend to pull and get hot.

IF it's really long use some sharp scisors and clip the long bits within 1/2 inch or so. Use any good 3 or 4 blade cartridge razor, a hot/wet towel and a bowl of hot water should be nearby. Any normal shaving gel is fine. Shave with the grain to get off the bulk of it (rinse the razor often and pull all the long hairs out) then re-lather and do a quick pass against the grain to get it really smooth. Just don't **** it up and cut her pissflaps or you'll never get to do it again. Remember, slow and steady wins the race.

Oh, and make sure you get down around th bung and the taint too.
