Shallow Mount 15s

My girlfriend has been complaining that I don't have enough room in my trunk since we had our baby 7 months ago. (stroller won't fit, ect). I have a mid sized sedan with a pair of 15s in 4 cubic feet sealed which takes up about 2/3 of the trunk along with the amps.

What I'm hoping to find is a pair of 15" shallow mounts that will work in about 2 cubic feet and will handle at least 1kw each. I'm not sure there is such a sub, so I suppose I would also consider four 12s.

Anyone have any recommendations ?

For 4 cu ft you should have 2 12s.

My current 15s work just ducky in 4 cubic feet sealed... they were built by me to work in the air space I had available while trying to get away from building 8 cube + ported boxes inside my trunk...

With that said I'd like something that will work in an even smaller box, if possible...

well the common misconception with shallow mount subs is people think they need a smaller box. they really dont. they need just as much space as their full sized counter-part. the only reason people get them is for a skinnier box. like for a single cab truck

I have 2 15" Critical Mass LS152 that fit the bill exactly.

I realize its all in the suspension, ect, ect.. and I would consider any 15s that would work in the space I'd like them to work in.. to be honest I'm sure I could mass load my current subs and still have them work okay in 3 cubic feet or less.. but I was thinking shallow mounts because they tend to have a smaller volume..

I would avoid anything planet audio, all their stuff is garbage.

what about a sub that likes smaller boxes.

extreme example would be the critical mass ul, neo motor take lots of power and designed for like a 1.2 sealed box
