shallow 8" sub

lookin for a single or pair of 8's with a shallow mount depth (about the 5" or less range). not looking to get crazy loud, but definitely want them to play as low as possible, and linearity/articulation are the top priorities. not a fan of the jl 8w0 and don't really like the 8w3's... other than those we dont have a lot of 8" subs for me to have experience with... so looking for input or other ideas if you have 'em... here's what i was considering

jl audio 8w6 (old, tend to be real hard to find that aren't beat to death)

cdt SQ carbon fiber blah blah something 8

old solobaric (round) 8's (if i can find them)

boston acoustic pro 8.5lf (if i can find those... they're real hard to find!)

maybe the digital designs 8 (i think it's the 1000 series, don't remember... loved the 3510 i used to have though)

and open to any other ideas... SQ is priority number 1. open to any input on some of the subs i've listed, or suggestions for others.
