Get it documented before you state ANYTHING. Then I would tell the landlord and see what their move is. They should pay the next 6 months IMO. If they do not want to do anything, move out and tell them ****ers see you in small claims. They broke THEIR contract. Just get shit documented before opening your mouth.

ya i am thinking it's probably wise to just eat the cost of an electrician out of pocket to document the problem before confronting them. Then i'll probably just deduct that amount off the next months rent.

It's just so hard to determine how much power i am using and how much is the W/D and furnace. Since they have to know they are not paying an electric bill and therefore are ripping off one of their tenants, it seems like its best to err on the side of them paying too much instead of me... i did nothing wrong.. so them picking up next 6 months of electric bill seems fair to me..

I just got back from living in Korea and needed to find a place like the day after i got back.

I seem to recall you posting that loans and credit were the devil and the right way to do things was to just save up and pay in cash...even for a house
