Shady Ebay Issue (Paypal)

I purchased a sub and enclosure from a reputable seller on Ebay - (312) 99.7%

Gentleman cancels his auction a day after I send payment (it already ended, but he just decided to erase the auction itself).

Paypal immediately filed a claim against him on my behalf.

Dear Daniel,
We recently learned that eBay removed the listing for the following transaction. As a result, we have placed the transaction on hold until we complete an investigation. We are contacting the seller to gather additional transaction details. We will contact you once our investigationis complete.

Paypal alos stated on my account page that if the item is not what was described on the auction then I would have the option of filing a claim.

Paypal came through with the claim...but I dont understand what is up with the seller (I sent him an email)

This happened to anyone?

Yes. You're lucky. I had to wait on the claim process, and then I had wait for the appeal process. They gave the seller 30 days to contact them(paypal). He didn't, and the case defaulted to me, and my money was returned.

Your gonna have to wait for a few weeks to get your money back unless the seller contacts you or Paypal. That really *****.

ebay *****, i bid on a computer case yesterday and when the seller realized the possible ending price was too low he cancelled my bid and relisted it at 3x the price

knew there was a reason i have only used ebay 3 times since i signed up in 2001

i had the same thing happen to me. listing disappeared as well as the seller. paypal made me wait before filing a claim. while waiting i ordered the same thing from someone else. well finally when it go to the point where i was about to win and get my money back the guy told paypal item was shipped. recieved the thing 2 months later after i won the auction.
