Setup Question

I currently have a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP for my head unit. I am planning on putting in two Kicker 15" Solo-Baric L7's . I am debating on amps, I'm looking at a a Kicker KX2500.1 or a RF T30001BD? Or is there a better one for this combo? Or is there a better combo I should go for all together? I'm just looking for some imput on this whole setup. Thanks guys!

What vehicle? You may be better suited with a single 15 ported (I'm assuming sealed) if space is a requirement. That will also narrow down your amp choices.

Its going in a Ford F-150 Supercab, I'm taking out the back seat because I plan on having at least 6 cu ft. for two ported 15" subs.

Also, some of my friends who are into car audio are trying to tell me one JL 13 W7 would blow the setup I want out of the water, is there any truth to this? Cause if I can go for one speaker and it hit just as hard, I'd do that too.

its true to the n00bs who know nothing but JL but its not true in the real world. i think that a 2500 on each sub will be definitely pushing it.

Just a FYI: 99.9999% of the time, your friends will be wrong. And if they are somehow right, they way they try to explain it is wrong, they just have the right outcome.

Sag, I think he means one amp for both speakers.

I don't have much experience with the l7's (the old round solobarics, yes) but from what I've seen, giving the pair 2500-3000 is a good place to start.

Two 15L7's on that Fosgate power amp would be pretty **** insane bro, no lies about it, and they would PISS on that single 13w7

And if all else fails and you want to impress them, you can do three 13w7's on that RF power series amp and do some damage

Also keep in mind you'll be upgrading alternator and other things in your electrical system

I also forgot to mention, I can get some Adire Brahma 15" subs at close to dealer cost because a local audio guy wants me to help promote the Adire name. What would yall go with L7 15" or 15" Brahamas ?

Well, I bought the dual 2 ohm versions of the Kicker Solo Baric S15 L7 . So I am gonna run two of them at a total impedence of 2ohm and hook it up to the kicker kx2500.1 . I cant wait for this to come all together. I am thinking about box setup, and all other aspects now. What kind of capacitor would I need?

Is a 40 Farad Capacitor really necessary for the setup I plan on running? Would a 3 Farad cap not do? Ive seen sites that say you only need .5 farads per 500 watts, so if I ran the kicker kx2500, wouldn't I only need about 2.5 farads?
