For some reason I'd rather not ditch the rear 6.5s. I'm fine with not doing 2way comps and just going with coax instead, but I'd rather upgrade those as well.

I also saw the Focal Access 3ways. As I'd mentioned before, I hear nothing but good things about Focal but was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this particular set...

the focals I've heard have all been a little harsh on the highs... I can't remember which model they were though

I dont really mind crisp highs as I've always run Infinity Kappas. I just dont want my ears to bleed. thats something that can be tamed with a little tuning I assume, correct?

And where can I get 2 JL amps for $200-$400?

Would it make any sense to run the 4 coax and run the 6.5 by itself (without the tweeter)?
