i alreaty know theres a sticky but no one answers. So heres my problem when it says 2 disconnect the speakers i disconnected my sub but when i went 2 turn everything up 2 my settings my stock speakers were making horrible bass sounds(there going 2 be replaced soon). Does this mean i have 2 disconnect these 2 set the gains also. Disconnecting them from the hu is a pain in the *** but im gunna have 2 do it when i put in my new speakers should i just wait till i do that.

No.

Since you will only listen to the system at a volume that the stock speakers can handle, when setting the gain you will want to turn the volume up to the loudest you can turn the volume before the speakers begin to distort.

Then, if you upgrade the speakers and want to use more of your volume range (i.e. you can turn the volume up louder without distortion from the speakers), then turn the volume up and reset the amplifier gain at the higher volume setting.
