serious sunroof issues

my Grand Prix sunroof broke awhile back, it won't open at all. I put a zcon 15 in the trunk on 3500 watts with really low tuning and it pretty much popped my sunroof out.. so now the rattle is ridiculous. I tried sound deadening and sealing with silicon. silicone worked for awhile but after 3 weeks it tore and now with the air leak I feel like I don't touch the lows as we'll. and I also get splashed with water when it rains so can anybody help me ? what do I do to fix this

a shop can either replace the sunroof or have the hole plugged for good - but their methods are rarely suitable for high power sound systems. getting a replacement roof skin is the permanant fix that is also the most expensive.

if you didn't use outdoor-rated silicone it may have shrunk and contributed to the failure. sealing off the opening from the inside will alleviate the pressure on the glass cover, then proper silicone (with proper prep) should be sufficient.

any welding will require repainting the exterior.

sounds like a good excuse to buy a better car.

Use solar seal of you can find it, check at siding and window store. It will not tear apart, at least I'd be shocked. It's really strong stuff
