Serious Question.... MTX or RF...

As you know, I have an MTX SledgeHammer 12" enclosure that has a 5500 series sub. I have been looking at upgrading to a 7500 series 12 from MTX and just drop it in the box.

My question is this, should I fork out the money for 1 MTX 12 7500 (300.00), or should I consider a pair of RF P2 12" subs instead? They will be a little more money, but RF vs MTX.

Are the 7500 series really all that great? Please someone chime in. My decision is in the stuck point right now.

Thanks!

Well, my dilema is I don't want to build a new enclosure for the sub. MTX said the 5500 and the 7500 are the exact same enclosure volume etc. The 7500 would drop right into the SledgeHammer enclosure I have.

As for my amp, I acutally like it. I have them leftover from my previous system in my Accord. I had the amp running 1 Orion XTR12D sub in a 3.57cu-ft ported enclosure. It sounded great. The enclosure was tuned to 27hz.

Maybe I will just get the 7500 12 and use it. Then, maybe I will consider getting rid of it next summer or something and upgrading.
