mehh the dems passed the tarp, one of the head guys making up the tarp IS turbo tax timmy and he still has 350 billion. If you blame it all on repubs because of Bush you can then blame 100% of deregulation on Clinton.

i kinda agree, but just the fact that bush's administration even wanted to spend 750B is wrong. they said it was an emergency, "we have to do this now!", then didn't even spend all of it, and don't know where alot of it went. at least the repubs were smart enough to leave 1/2 of it on the dems. i'd say the dems deserve about 1/4 of the blame on the original 700B, and full responsibility for this new one. they even used the same tactic bush used by saying that it's an "emergency". we just got bush 3 in terms of spending.

your eyes must be covered in shit. the dems passed the largest spending bill in history, with no debate. good idea even democrats should be fvckin pissed. the only people who aren't apalled, are too stupid to realize just how much 1 trillion dollars is. that's the argument. it has nothing to do with a particular party. it just so happens that the dems own this one. the repubs still own the 700B bank bail out.

Still HAS TO PASS THE HOUSE AND SENATE..president cant pass any bill like that without it passing. Just like deregulation those who blame it on that in the Democratic Party VOTED FOR IT as well. Dodd, Biden, Frank, Pelosi and a bunch more supported deregulation then tried to pin it on McCain who would not vote on the matter without further review. Democrats also spit in Bush's face and McCain's when they REFUSED to regulate those banks 6 and 4 years ago. i'm not saying that the dems aren't also at fault, but i'm talking about bush. we all expect the dems to not have a problem spending money. it's what they do. bush was elected to not be a liberal spender, and he betrayed his own party. you keep arguing, as if i disagree about our worthless congress. i'm saying that because the republicans had a terrible president, they own it. at least politically. it's what got obama elected.

Forget places like Cali. that place is the closest thing to socialism we have in this country and look, perfect example of liberal rule, the are so broke they can't fund half the social and enviromental projects they have made into law over the past decade. This is exactly wher the USA as a whloe is going!

we're already there. our government knows it, so they will try to spend their way out of it, just like we did in the 30's. just as japan did in the 90's. neither worked. problem: we've shipped our means of production overseas. it'll be very hard for us to produce our way out of this one.
