That design confuses me. The front and rear waves are not seperated from each other, as is usually critical.

I almost posted the same thing, word for word. If the front and the back wave meet within the enclosure, doesn't that nullify the purpose of a 6th order?

IMO, the best thing to do is just stick to ported. I have a feeling that that sub is not suited for a 6th order and it would be dissapointing. I think that no matter what kind of box configuration, volumes and ports you do, the ported would easily beat it.

Again, this is just my opinion and you can take it with a grain of salt.

If you do build it, it would be nice to see the results either way.

I was thinking the same thing as well...

Well, I'll definitely be building it, just to see if I do gain anything at the meter. So I'll post some results when I get it metered, whenever that may be.

The sub itself has a pretty high EBP, which, from what I've heard, suits it well for ported and 6th order boxes. Whereas low-EBP subs work better in sealed and 4th order BP boxes. What exactly makes a woofer more suited towards a 6th order BP design?

IMO the sub is more suited for a 4th order than a 6th. The reason I say that is because of the QTS value it has, I looked at the specs you posted in the classifieds. Its QTS is 32. If it was lower then you could throw it in a 6th order. Also what frequency are you shooting for?

Between 54-57hz, my truck peaks at 55-56hz. I tried modeling up a 4th order BP, and I can get a 2-3db higher peak with it...is it really worth it over the 6th order design I originally posted in here?
