securing box down

i would like to not have to drill in my trunk (expedition) so can i just like velcro it down? or would that come up

if the carpet on the floor is secured velcro will work fine

If it isnt a large box, velcro would do fine...it's just if someone wants to jack it...theyll just have to yank it off the velcro and 'see ya'..

Velcro isnt gonna hold a box for long man, especially if its huge. I always use L Brackets for mine, but that requires drilling. Or make some shims to make the box fit snug in the cabin area.

You could pull up the carpet and see if there are any existing holes that you can use. If you find a hole, you could try to use it to anchor an L-bracket. Just a thought...

Heavy boxes also tend to rip something like velcro off very easy

hes got an expedition.. I doubt he is drifting in that bish.. velcro will work just fine.. bigger box add more velcro.. try to find big pieces though not the little strips..

im not saying its fine in every situation but in one like his with it being a large suv velcro will hold it from sliding... now then.. Safety issue.. with a hatch if you roll or get in a big accident that box may fly forward and own you.. bolting is a good idea but if you insist on not.. velcro will do the trick..

ya its not something most think about until it happens.. whether its your fault or not in the accident the box flying into the back of your head is your fault for not properly securing it.. and its not worth getting smacked/possibly dying
