I appreciate it, but I am looking for moar hardcoar. BTW, SS is great stuff. I just think I need Kevlar or something.
SS sludge + activator = strong as it gets for deadening //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

pectrum Sludge™ is the thickest noise and vibration paste on the market. One coat is all you need to achieve the minimum effective thickness of 1mm but a total thickness of up to 4mm can be applied in a single coat if desired.

Simply add a bottle of Sludge Activator (included) to a gallon of our regular Spectrum coating to change the viscosity from chocolate syrup to peanut butter.

these pictures make me miss my window tint. 4 tickets in one summer FTL (every one being with my windows rolled down, except back windows only roll down half way)
why didnt you use a roller of some sort //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Seems most times when people post pics of their deadening job these days, its rollered down half-assed at best. People go out and spend good money on buying the best mat they can, then unknowlingly diminish its performance drastically by being lazy about applying it correctly. Makes you wonder how well they prepped the surface before hand too.

Meh, I still prefer my concrete recipe for the ultimate in mass loading. Im sure that's a nice setup when cured also, but I bet mine is better, and cheaper. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Mang, tell me about it. That is why I am scared to buy some mat and then not put it on right, lol! How far is Pismos Beach? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I dunno, how far is a 'big *** lake'? lol Im guessing its a half a continent away. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Just learn from these guys. See all those lumps and wrinkles in the mat in these pics? they shouldn't be there. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif Just be sure to run your roller over every square inch you apply the mat to. And have a razor handy for making slices to pop air bubbles. that, plus making sure to clean the surface properly before hand (VERY important as Im sure you already know) are the main things to doing a successful job.

So on the doors its best to do inside and out with 1 layer, what about the roof and floors? Also do you just be carefull when doing the floors and cut around holes and things of that nature? I have never done this before, better yet I have never even seen the stuff. On the next build I am doing my best not to take shortcuts.

Lol, by big *** lake, I mean mosquito lake, which I live right next to which happens to be near Cleveland Ohio. One of the bigger man made lakes in around these parts. It stands true to it's name as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I will learn, that is why is nice to read your posts as you are a book of information. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I will make sure to take my time and if I get a bubble to cut it with my trusty blade, lol! Will make sure to clean the surface as well. What do you use for cleaning the sheetmetal?

Thanks bud.

yea the dynamat had been sitting around a garage for a year or so the sheets had been folded a few times, but i got the bulk box for $20 of dynamat extreem so i cant complain:D

You want to 'prep' the surface by cleaning it. There should be no dirt, grease, moisture, etc. I personally use isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) as its cheap and readily available at most convenient stores. And it wont leave a residue.

Cool, I have a big *** bottle sitting in my cabinet in the bathroom. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you dont even need to buy a roller you can use a blunt end of a screwdriver

Not true. Rubbing Alcohol has an ingredient added to prevent it from drying skin. I think you can get something similar at the hardware store that is pretty much the same (I think acetone). I takes paint off, so be careful. If the stuff is pretty clean, you don't have to worry too much about cleaning (I mean, what is going to happen under the carpet?)

I was real happy with all the SSA stuff I've used. The Damplifier sticks VERY well. It's very flexible too. We did my entire truck with no cuts to our fingers. Then 3 days later I was cleaning up the garage and picked up a handful of small pieces... *SLICE*. ****it! Oh well.
