yes.. battery is a battery, and they're both deep cycle

I do but its in a real hard area to reach, and I don't feel like drilling a hole, i'd rather get a better ground and just bring it from the front.

But if you get too much current flowing through it, couldn't it roast the wire and start a fire?

I'm talking about the long run from the underhood battery to the one in the trunk.

And there are fuses on the positive for that reason also.

HEY quick question i am also installing a second batterie in my car and i was wondering what gauge wire is the best to yse? 0 guage or 1 guage or 0/1 or 0/2 gauge wire, i was thinking of going with 1 gauge wire off hand.

and one more quick question does anyone know the price off hand for zero or 1 gauge wire?

No, its ground.
And there are fuses on the positive for that reason also.

Is it even possible for the ground to carry a current that would ever put the wire in danger of melting?

I believe if the ground can't handle the current through its wire, the current will just stop right where it is until it can resulting in lower voltage

I would say if you can get 0ga get it. If you're like me and you change amps and stuff a lot you can not go wrong with the 0ga.

Price of wire depends on where you get it from. I am partial to the Kicker because the Asian lady at the flea market give it to me for like 4 something a foot for 0ga and then gives me the terminals for free.
