Well i am going to be adding a strike lcb1200.The output is 700cca and 1200 peak discharge.I have an optima red top up front.Do i really need an isolator?Or can i just hook the battery up and be good to go.

You only need an isolator if you run the stereo with the car off. I had a dual battery setup using two Yellow tops and I didn't use an isolator since I don't run my system with the car off anyways. You should be fine.

I dont plan too but if i did play it w/ the car off will it be bad?Do the batterys drain fast?Then its hard to charge?
