Second Battery Placement

Hey guys,

I'm purchasing a D3400 battery to replace my stock battery (~1500w system). It occurred to me that I could then place one of the batteries in the trunk for additional power.

My question: which battery should be placed where? Beefy one up front, stock in back, or vise versa?

I would place new batt in the rear and if you can replace the stock batt up front with a agm aswell.

If your stock battery isn't AGM, just replace it with the D3400.

If it is AGM, put the D3400 in the back.

Don't mix standard lead acid with AGM.

Thanks folks. I was leaning towards just replacing it, and I'll do just that.

Another quick Q - are there any worthwhile voltage meters that work as well as the SMD?

The smd is just to say "i have money to burn." a stingervolt meter will do. Hell, even the cheap ebay $3 ones will do

Haha yea, I definitely wasn't about to burn money on that thing. I would however like something that shows accurate voltage readings - I've had a couple that don't work very well (*cough* ebay). Maybe I'll give the stinger a shot. Thanks

$2.50 ebay meter and a relay is what I have, and it works great
