second battery install

did a quick sketch up, would this work?

my main concern is moving the fuses from the front battery to the rear, but i dont see how this would make much of a difference. and also grounding from the amp to the battery seems odd but i saw it on youtube

That's fine. But yea u either need to ground that back battery in the back or another run of wire and ground it to the front battery.

People will choose one or the other. I've tried both and I've had better voltage with runs up to the front

Yea i had both +&- runs to the rear and fused at both front and rear of + run

i thought about that too but figured might as well save a few bucks, ill probably do that when i decide to upgrade amps, for now i just have a nice little chuck of extra cash and wanna take car of these "little" things ive been posting threads about all day

Just get a deka AGM or Duracell AGM etc... Way cheaper then XS power and pretty much same performance unless your competing and you need that .1db you don't need Xs power lol.

How close is most common to mount the second battery to the amp? And are the smaller batteries effective

Fuse by both batteries on your long positive run. With only one fuse, if it shorts in the middle, your're still going to damage something
