Sealing the subs.

Being a noob at enclosures, my measurements were off when i cut the holes for my fubars. They're in a ported box and sound great, until i open the trunk. There is a tiny gap between the sub and the box. The box is nothing show, due to the fact it takes up my entire trunk. I'm wondering if I could run silicone around the gap to seal it? will it hold up? thanks.

wow that makes things a lot easier. I'm thinking of redoing the box though, getting some expert help(in awhile) But I'm glad it will work.
