I'm putting an 18 in my trunk and was wondering if there would be a difference if my enclosure wasn't right up on the back of my seat?
Behind my seat, in the trunk, there is a hump about a foot back that slopes down and then flattens out. I was wondering if I could rest the box in front of the slant and then build around it to seal it off to the front? Would this effect the sound, or would I need to just go the usual routes with sub placement, sub/port back or sub up/port back? Would facing the sub toward the slant cause me to lose dbs, or can I put wood or glass on the slant to allow a smoother opening for the sound to travel?
