sealing doors with?

Okay so I guess after everything is deadened then screw the aluminum flashing over the holes with self tapping screws then deaden over the flashing overlapping the door metal.

that's how I did my Altima, also layed down a bead of silicone/caulk before screwing down the alum flashing. Worked well...

I'm assuming he wants the metal to become a part of the door, so why try to decouple it?

 
Home Depot sells perforated metal sheets that are perfect for that. Cut to size, bend em into place, secure with sheetmetal screws or RTV and cover with deadener.
