sealing doors with?

What does everyone use to seal up the holes in the doors? Plexiglass, sheet metal, wood, just sound deadener?

Im thinking aluminum flashing from home depot but should I sandwich the flashing between 2 layers of deadener to keep the flashing from rattling or vibrating on the door metal?

ive only used just deadner but if you do use the aluminum then yes do whatever you can so it doesnt rattle, id just use deander tho

Screw some sheet metal down and deaden it.

Okay so I guess after everything is deadened then screw the aluminum flashing over the holes with self tapping screws then deaden over the flashing overlapping the door metal.

Not seeing "decoupler" in link. I have AlphaDamp for deadening.

Okay so I guess after everything is deadened then screw the aluminum flashing over the holes with self tapping screws then deaden over the flashing overlapping the door metal.

that's how I did my Altima, also layed down a bead of silicone/caulk before screwing down the alum flashing. Worked well...

I'm assuming he wants the metal to become a part of the door, so why try to decouple it?

Home Depot sells perforated metal sheets that are perfect for that. Cut to size, bend em into place, secure with sheetmetal screws or RTV and cover with deadener.

I would use Dynamat. Easy to work with, can cut with a pair of scissors and will provide good deadening to the doors.
