i cant really find any information on them, but are they any good? i want those or something equivalent that will get loud and sound clear with plenty of power to spair.... why are the midrange woofers so cheap? its like 35 bucks from crescendo....

Between the crescendo PWX-6 or the rockford fosgate PPS4-6 midrange woofer

im planning on putting these in my rear deck, which would you guys rather do or any other suggestions for around the same price range? (under 85 bucks) suggestions could be coaxials or midrange woofers like i stated

We (crescendo)are in the market to deliver the best bang for buck. With the PWX's, we decided to aim at that price range to have near no competition when it comes to a great sounding PA style speaker that'll handle a great amount of power. Trust me, if theres one thing the PWX's don't feel like when you get them, is cheap. Very solid speakers.

hows the SQ on em? i might buy 2 pairs

Theres a good amount of people out there with them that love the sound. They sound awesome active, and arent over powering. Do not have the same sound and beaming characteristics as typical pro-audio speakers.

Best for midrange then? Or could they be used as an active midbass? Im between this and seleniums.

they have loads of midbass, that was actually a big design goal with them. More lower end then the retired MP series, and More then the selenium 6W4P's if those are the ones you comparing to.

Thanks for clearing that up, I might need to pick these up for the Midbass.

I haven't heard the new ones yet, MP's had more midbass then the Seleniums when I did a drop in test. Seleniums were louder and clearer in the mid/upper ranges.

Doing an install with 8 8" MP's next week, but might end up getting the PWx's if I'm not happy with the sound.

Grab them and dont look back... The nendos are nice but not near as nice... Yes I have heard both in person....
Do you really think so? Definitely value the opinion, but in my eyes the Seleniums were comparable to the MP's, but i cannot see how the build quality and sound of the seleniums is greater then the PWX's...and I've had at least 12-14 of the selenium 6's though different setups, and IMO they kind of represent the old school "benchmark" of the typical PA sounding woofers out there.
