so i finally got around to installing my subs and at the moment im a little disappointed and need input

equipment: Avn5435, jbl bpx.1100.1, 3 ID oem 10's.

sealed box, .9cubes per sub, common chamber sealed box.

im a little disappointed with the output. ive tried every conceivable crossover point, ssf setting and it doesnt sound any better, maybe a little less than my girlfriends setup of 3 type r's, getting only 600 watts. just when i think ive got it a few songs make my sub bottom out.

ID said a box .6-.9 per sub. 05 honda civic so going ported is out of the question. any suggestions?

How are they positioned in your car? I have a couple shitty 12's in prefabed boxes that make my roof/windows/bumpers/door panels flex if I set em up just right. Positioning can make a HUGE difference

they are just in the trunk up against the rear seat facing the trunk. its just i dont get why just a little move of the ssf and the sub bottoms out. i didnt think that was a problem with a sealed enclosure only ported.

thats what is making me believe maybe i had the box built too big. when i look at the ED site (they are basically the ed ov subs) the boxes they suggest for them are so tiny......think smaller is going to be the way to go.

sounds right, the re se's are the same way. i would build to what they are optimized for.
i did i just made it for the high end. they are recommended .6-.9 and mine is like right at .9

Add some blocks of wood to your box to lessen the volume...to down around the .7^3 area....and see what happens.
Exactly, quick way to figure out if that's the problem.....but if your saying the outputs lacking that much, maybe the subs just aren't loud enough for your taste? On the other hand they will be a bit louder and handle more power with a smaller box, but a bigger box just makes them more efficient so output won't increase too much, but power handling will!

wouldnt power handling and output kinda go hand and hand?

OP -- You happen to have the T/S parameters for those subs?
heres some specs on got from ID forums but they are essentially a copy of ED ov series.
