Looks very good. Nice choice on speakers also. Read a lot of good things about those tweets.

I decided to do wooden "pods" for my doors. Sort of like a home speaker baffle look. LOT of fabricating, but it's coming along nicely. Not as smooth looking as a glass install, but I wanted something different.

Looking forward to completed pics.

got to work on it a little today, now that my other project is finally done...

i got the rings mounted. this door is gonna be diff than the first, i have the mid and the tweet on the same axis as the first door, so i don't have any side biasing. the mid at about 30-40* and the tweet at 0*. i can't wait, its gonna sound so good!

Excellent job. But MAN you've got that midrange close to your leg, don't you? Did you not want to consider kickpanels at all? I just wonder about alot of your midrange frequencies being blocked by your leg, not to mention the tactility of having a large driver firing that close to your leg. Seems the imaging could be skewed a bit. I'm gonna do something similar in my doors, but for now I've just got 8s mounted with birch baffles. They're not playing midrange, though, I'm running a 3-way active front. When I do mine, i'm gonna have to completely rebuild doorpanels from scratch. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Excellent work though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

there are several reasons for the build the way i did. kickpanels were not an options...1) i had them in my last car and had a problem w/ people kicking them, i yelled alot, but they still got kicked. 2) the mid and the tweet HAD to be together, and i wasn't fond of the tweet on the floor. 3)i wanted to go sealed, and not near enough room for what i wanted. 4)i just like the way it looks better in the door, than on the floor. i've got my temp re comps mounted in the driver door now, running passive and have got zero problem w/ the mid freq. when i go active i'm crossing them over around 2500, so i feel there will be even less of a problem, as i believe now (passive) they're crossed at ~3500.
