Raising the rear bench seat in a ext cab Silverado

A buddy of mine wants me to put his L7 under the rear seat of his 05 (I think) Ext Cab Silverado. Im pretty sure we can get it to fit if we can raise the seat 1-1.5." I have read people doing it, but couldnt find out exactly how it was done.

Can anyone help me out?

We put a piece of 2" "C" channel to raise up my buddy's rear bench in his '06.

we did that in an 04... easiest way was just to cut the seat brackets out, put risers on ends of box with on in the middle and then used L brackets to mount the seat to the risers

ive also seen it done with drawer brackets... mount one set to the box, the other to the bottom of the seat. You have to remove the front seats to get the back one slid ontop of the box, but it get the seats to sit flush with the top of the box

Hmmm.... well he doesn't want to do any cutting or fabbing up. If he cant get it to work otherwise, he will just sell his L7 and look into other options.

y not do a "center console box... have it down fire and run the box up between where the rear passenger sits... if you use the floor and 15" of seat space in the middle up to the rear window you should be able to get about 4.2 cubes.

i know its bench seats... you go in front of the seats, and then up over the seats.
