Sealed Fi Q problems

I have a 12" Fi Q on the way, should be here on Tuesday. My goal was to put it in a sealed enclosure. Now Ive been told that just about everyone that put a Q in a sealed enclosure has had issues. I don't know if the source is reliable. I'm starting to wonder if I made a bad choice. Can anybody shed any light on this?

Is there is certain size box I should use. How many cubes do you think I should go with. I was thinking 1.3. I listen to mostly metal and rock. A little rap but not much. Or maybe I should go ported just to be safe?

they sound like *** with tight puss but doesnt really get super loud and when you try and push it to be as loud as it should be in a ported box then they have problems over excurting. At least thats what ive experienced. They sound pretty **** good though, my 18 dont miss a beat period.

The 12" that I tested ate up the 1.7 cube sealed enclosure it was in...

i got my 18" Q in 9.3 ported...and it gets LOUDDDD

I had some issues with my 12 q in a 1.5cft in a sealed enclosure foamed off from the trunk. It was sounding like a bottoming out flap sound I guess you would call it. I took the foam in out and turned the woofers around and tuned it more and got a better deck and sounds a shit ton better. That sound is still there, so I still think something may be wrong with the sub. I think it sounds better on rap than rock, but that is me and I listen to a lot more rock. I might try a ported box down the road.
