Sealed enclosure capacity

I recently found a custom built enclosure: 3/4 MDF cube form 14"x14"x14" for a single 12" subwoofer.

The only thing I don't know about this box is the capacity in cubic feet.

Maybe someone could hep me out telling me how much is this box capacity? The seller doesn't know about it. I'm from Europe and not very much familiar with non-metric dimensions, so don't know how to count...

Does 1.588 cu. feet sound about right? I'm pretty sure you just convert inches to feet and multiple that shit to get the volume

All you do is multiply the three numbers together.Which in yor case it comes out to 2744.Then divide it by 1728 and theres yor answer.1.5879629.But then you can round off from their.

Where did u get the 1728 from?

OK, so when u are trying to find out how much space u take:

total amount (X) / 1728=total cubic feet?

is that how it's done?

OK, now that i know how to find out internal space, how do i figure it with the sub in there and the port/s?

just subtract the displacement of the sub and the port volume......dont quite remember the volume for a cylinder but if memory serves me right its area of circle x length

I heard somewere that its not good to put a sub in a perfect cube. EX. 14" x 14" x 14"
