How so? I want to know about the sub that is being mentioned in this thread. Can I not ask questions in threads? Do you have answers for me?

Those subs do sound good but they do take a lot of power to get loud which is a downfall. I would definately go ported, I have run these sealed and ported and the SQ on ported is fine and it gets much louder. If I had limited space and a sealed enclosure I would go with a different sub that can move more air with less power.

What would you suggest? A 500/1 is not enough power for 1 10" D6?

That will be about right for that sub, I guess my point was that there are subs that will get louder with that wattage.

I have access to JL Audio, Alpine, Eclipse, MTX, and Diamond Audio subs. Need a mounting depth of less that 5.8" to fit in my stealthbox.

Please give recommendations as I am a bug NOOB, and I have NO IDEA what to get. Thanks!

when I used to run a Stealthbox,I ran it with an older Diamond M6(which I still own)

TheM6 came before the D6 model change

and was pretty much the same sub as a D6 according to DA

Nice short design,mines still pounding with 900 watts and 3 years old

I dont fvck with JL.... I prefer the route less traveled

This would be a great driver for your needs, works well in small spaces and still can move a lot of air, plus the mounting depth is 5.4 inches.....email the contact info on this page. You will not be disappointed. The W3v2 is a good sub as well but the soundsplinter would work better.

Listened to a D6 in the JL Box... Didn't sound too bad. Went with a dual 4ohm to get a 2ohm load on the amp. Definitely more overall volume that thw JL W3V2, but I was not sure that it was worth the extra $$$ they wanted to swap it out...

My cousin had 2 d3s run off of a kenwood 600w amplifier and they got very loud.

On top of that, the SQ was decent, but the d6 is definately a step up in quality.

Maybe listen to some d1s if you're trying to save money?

Wondering what the D3 would sound like in the same box... hmmm.... any ideas?

D3s are too large for that box but sound just OK,they miss alot of musical notes compared to a D6

and dont get nearly as low

Thanks. I am probably going to go the D6 route to get more overall volume ou tof the sub. (they have to be able to keep up with thoe D9 separates in the doors, which are incredible BTW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif )
