sealed boxes

Doesn't matter so much for low frequencies but cubes are where you can get into trouble and that's only if you plan on going pretty high in frequency.

Oog like sphere best. Me think it function and look way nature intend.

I noticed my system lacks a lot of bass-midbass in rock songs,

should I build a sealed box for my 12'' dc lvl 4?

what do you think the frequency range for a sealed would be vs a ported 32.5 hz

At what frequency would the spherical benefits of an enclosure become audible?
...because I can make a sphere....
It wouldn't be worth the trouble really. Spheres benefit mid and high frequency drivers, not so much low frequency drivers. Although, structurally speaking, they are the best.

I used to have 2 12'' kicker cvr's (older model ones) in a sealed box,

my dc lvl 4 doesn't seem to hit the higher notes that the CVR's did.

my lowpass is set a little past the middle (between 30hz and 300hz)

what do you guys think I should do?

raise the lowpass? put it in a sealed box? build a ported box and tune it higher?
