sealed box question

well i've got 2 12w3v3s in a sealed box, and a side wall blew out, and i can't repair it immediately, my question is; will the totally open box cause any damage to my sub?? i've got a 500/1 amp split between the 2, just wondering if i should turn it off until i get it fixed or if it'll be alright, thanks.

yes, turn it off right now. At least till you can get a new box. Did the wall that seperates both sides of the enclosure break or one of the outside walls? Either way, dont run your subs like that period.

You can over drive the subs if you push them too hard like that. Either keep the volume very low or disconnect the subs.

Get an enclosure built correctly next time.

you should unless you just drive a really small car, what kind of car is it?

it's a 2007 cts, the guy making my box said a ported box in the trunk would sound shitty, but what do you think should i get it ported or get a sealed box that isn't made of plywood lol
