Sealed box-pressure

Think about this, if you have a sealed box in a vehicle with the windows rolled up It will move your eardrums more because the pressure gets higher and lower when the speaker moves so you have pressure moving your ears as well as sound waves. When in a ported the port equals out the pressure so all that is effectives are the waves. Just a theory. Peace

For sound pressure levels it's all about moving air...and in a ported box, a sub moves more air b/c it is allowed to push the air on the back stroke out! in a sealed box...the air is restricted in the box. so, ur theory...at least to me is not entirely true. Also, vehicle must be completely air tight for this to be true...also need to take into account flexing of panels. peace
