SE vs SS which one?

i was just wondering if i should go with a 10inch RE SE or a 10 sound spinter, which would give me more sound quality and which would give me a lil spl

oh and how would each sound in a standard cab truck in a vented box?

Tuned to what?

The box tuning is going to determine a lot of the potential SQ of the system.

i really dont know how to tune a box, or anything like that i have a cupple friends that do, just trying to get some ideas

I had 2 RE SE 10s in my single cab. I didnt really like it, too little space for them. You however might can do it, but it was all a tight fit for me considering im 6'5 and the box couldnt be very big.

The SE has great SQ and can get loud as well, however I havnt had any experience with the soundspliter.

im putting one in a console box and the box is also gonna stretch to behind both seats so its gonna have alot of room for one sub if i can vent it and figure out how to tune the box it'll be great

exactly how loud would a SE get if i had about 800 runnin to it?

I have 1200w to 2 Rl-is in a 2.5^3 box tuned to 34hz. I like them a lot. Nice punch and awesome sq. It gets kind of peaky in the 30hz range, but i should have tuned it lower. If you get the rl-is make sure you tune them low.

orrr would a SE 10 and 2 re8s sound pretty good, i have roughly 1.5^ft for the 10 maybe more, and prolly 1^ft for the 8s.......8s would be behind the seats and the 10 will be in the middle.....what are you opinons on that...would it sound retarded/look retarded

Its a bad idea to mix sub woofers/sizes.

It would create cancellation. Different subs with different T/S params.

I had 2 RE SE 12's sealed off of 1100 watts and they were definitly loud!! Louder than I ever needed in a Daily driver!

Now I use the SS 15" Rl-p. I like it alot its only getting ~500watts in a large sealed box but it sounds phenominal!!

how would 1 10inch SE perform at 800rms maybe more, i have 2 1100ds to power whatever or should i try and go with 2 15in RL-p and do a blowthru, im looking for sound quality and SPL as well, im not tryin to reach like the 160db mark just somethin in the mid 140s would be nice

because i dont have enough space for it, it probably requires a much larger box than the se and i really dont wanna port my cab or do a blowthru for a 10inch sub ya kno

There was a kid on here that had his XXX 12" in a 1^3 and said it hit nicely and sounded great.
