i was planning to upgrade to a 4k watt amp giving each one 1000, but then i'd have to get a bigger alt, so should i just get the alt first?

Id get the electrical up on the setup, Im sure that will help a bit. 4k might be over doing it also, maybe 3k on em would be nice...

maybe a lil higher tuning, and i was really thinking 2 cubes per sub was kinda small?

No way, not for SE's..... When I shrink the port and lower the tune from 40hz to 33 I go up instant 2.3 db. And I have had MANY people say the se's don't seem to meter if you tune them high. Perhaps the soft suspension. And man I have se's and honestly man they sound LOUD AS HELL. but don't seem to meter what it should. Mine don't meter any better than my pioneer 307's I use to have per amount of power. But for musical loud... WOW I love my se's. I do have to admit I kinda wish I went type R's just to get the score up some
