SD8000 first impressions

I own a sd8000, I did power testing and it made 7700 watts at 1.85 ohms at 11.25 volts, and 9200 watts at 1.75 ohms at 13.1 volts. They are very strong amps for the size!!

Those Stetsom 7k's are kind of big, especially compared to an SD 8000. My buddy has a 7k, and it was alot longer than I was expecting. I am all about the compact size, especially when you have big batts taking up a ton of room anyways:crap:

Never thought I would see the day someone would say a amp that puts out over 7000 watts and under 25 inches is to big.... LOL

I' still stuck on how they can do so much power with so little input.. unlocked chip or not.. You could still fry the insulation on the 1/0 wire going into the amp if it surged 500+amps

I just cant wait to fit 2 SD8000's under the cargo tray in my CRX //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Dont run longer power\ground lines or use multiple runs in, either or works.

I hear ya man... Im going to get one of those stinger 1/0 to 3/0 adapters and run two 1/0 power wires to mine

^^^Not if your running a short distance to the amp.
No matter what resistance is still there.. Along with a thing called jackted insulation. So for your point to prove true the amps would only be intended for someone with less than 6" in length to go from battery to amp.
