SD8000 first impressions

Lol i guess i should not be so judgmental about an amp i havn't seen in person in a playing car.

When murilo came to canada, i went over to his place to check out the SD3000 and say hi. The SD3000 is half the size of the SD8000 i thought the man was nuts. His little kitten was about the same size as the SD3k

However he did put up one hell of a score for a barley built car in Street B at SBN. There are also some big name guys with his amps. I had no trouble forking over the money for his product.

In fact, we are here to answer questions, you don't see very often an amp manufacturer answering questions on a forum, right?

Very nice, at this wattage I've almost considered going to IGBTs rather than MOSFETs, for the I*Vdrop losses in IGBTs compared to the I*I*Rdson losses in fets. Are you using MOSFETs or IGBTs? I would like to take a guess and say TO247(Not big enough compared to the TO220 to be TO264) package.

I own a sd8000, I did power testing and it made 7700 watts at 1.85 ohms at 11.25 volts, and 9200 watts at 1.75 ohms at 13.1 volts. They are very strong amps for the size!!

I also own a couple stetsom 10kd's. They are also very strong amps, just a little bigger then the sd8000.
