Screws for MDF Baffles

Darn HD links...it takes me to all the sheet metal screws on the second one you just posted. Both, for that matter.

At least I know what to look for now, but would you mind answering my question about the bolt cutter? Just need something that's going to be able to grip, strip, and cut my Knu KCA 0ga.

I like the idea of the anti-theft...unfortunately the smallest size for those screws in stock at my location are 1 5/8"...won't that be too much penetration?
Wood through wood,3/4+1/2= out to 1in,5/8in maybe a little less due to actual wood thickness, and can always add small washers if you dont feel comfortable with that much , but Ive never had a problem

Thank you. I definitely appreciate it.
Additionally, how does this look for a cable cutter/stripper for everything up to Knu KCA 0ga?

8 in. Wire Cutters-PWC9 at The Home Depot
It looks pretty good,Ive never used one of those,I generally just use a box knife that holds a razor blade to strip the 0 ga/or just a sharp pocket knife, and use wire cutters to cut the wirehttp://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hardware-Hand-Tools-Cutting-Tools-Utility-Knives-Blades/h_d1/N-5yc1vZc21p/h_d2/Navigation?catalogId=10053&Nu=P_PARENT_ID&langId=-1&storeId=10051&currentPLP=true&omni=c_Utility%20Knives%20&%20Blades&searchNav=true

If you've had good luck with it, then I trust you. Just wish I didn't have to get a pound of them since I'll only be using about 8 of them per side for the ring.

Ack this wire cutter thing is driving me nuts. They do tool rentals too, right?

Titanium 8 in. Muti-Purpose Snip-18039 at The Home DepotThese will be used over and over/several times/cut like butter through wire, even Fisk Garden ones are excellent!
So how is it in Los Angeles, the one thing you're showing me that I know will work isn't in stock. I'll check the nearby stores now.

Nope. Nobody has that particular one. Just my luck...

You can get a small box/plastic bag of those 1in-1.25 self tapping phillips headed sheetmetal screws will work just fine for you,I think. If you are just cutting a small amount for yourself, a box blade works just fine for the stripping of the plastic jacket ,and wire cutters/or the Garden Fisk pruners/cutters will cut that wire like butter, just like cutting your hair..lol

Lol that's what I'm after. Yeah, I appreciate the help and was loving the idea of those box-head bolts, but I know I'll be murdered if I'm trying to house my leftover supplies in our condo. Appreciate the help, Audio and I'm glad you helped me with the research. I'll be posting up a build log for all of this, too. Hopefully this weekend, but we had hail and sub-40 degree weather here today, so I'm not sure...

When I lived in some apartments here in Tx, Id go to an empty car wash, and crank up the heat, till I got ran off the second time..lol

No worries, found a pair of Fiskars shears (the ones you mentioned aren't carried here) that claim to cut a max thickness of a hair under 5/8" and lucky me, that's the exact length of the Knu with sheath. It's now in my list.

You will use those to cut all your wire from now on after you use them
