You could use a coat hanger and not notice a difference in sound in your car.

You just decide for how much snake oil you want to buy. Yes, there are vast differences in construction; but for car audio, the only real concern is ground resistance.

I build my own. If I buy, I avoid molded headshells because they cannot be repaired. I only buy 2-part headshells. I like Monter Cable turbine-cut headshells.

I have heard differences in cables when listening to very high end home audio. But that is another topic.

i have the monster 400 series cables, and can't tell the dang diff from my old fosgates(the best ones)
