school me on fi audio subs

looking at getting another 12 eventualy to replace my skar vvx12

been looking at the Fi audio BL line since they are in my price range, i know there are all kinds of options to add on to the subs but im not too sure which ones i should add on for a daily driver. and does anybody have any experience with the other lines like the Q, SSD, and BTL line.

i have a cadnence daytona dca1600 mono amp running 1600 watts at 1ohm, my current box is a custom built box with 1.75 cubes of air space and is tuned to 35hz. i want a mix of both spl and sQ,

any opinions or recomendations ????

You will be happy with any Fi sub. I have 2 bl's in my exploder and absolutely beat the living **** out of them and they are 3.5 years old and still sound amazing.

Had a feeling the box wasn't big enough Or wasn't tuned low enough. Is that an issue with them? Bigger box is better for them ?

Im putting an Fi Q 12 in 2.5 at tuned to 33 lol... If you want to keep that box I would look at a DC...

You could have gotten more out of your skar with a bigger box as well, and a lower tuning.

He wouldnt have had to go bigger... Mine was in 1.7 at 31 and was quite loud

That just seems small, my 10s are in 1.5 each.

The skar is very loud in the box I have now. It was built to spec by Kevin from skar as part of that package deal he offered. It's not that I'm unhappy with the skar but the sub does peak very soon and I only have tha gain on my amp a little under halfway up. So id like to match my amp with at least a 1000-1500 rms sub

A DC level 4 would do quite well with that box and power

What size of sub? Aren't they recommended at like, 3?

My Skar was a 12... I would buy another actually since I should have just kept mine...
