Scan Speak R2904/7000 set up, please advice.

OK I am jealous. I really like the kicks, that is a lot of work to pull that placement off, I have to get started on figuring mine out. You fanning the fire. Really nice work. I would have to put something over them though or I would put my foot on them and destroy them.

thanks...there are grills made...just haven't taken pics of it yet....

out of every tweeter I've owned/tested...
none have come close on axis...off axis it sucks...

I could use any tweeter in the world and I'll choose this everytime and it is why it's in my car....I have 480 watts to each tweeter and they love it....
Yeah that design has high frequency beaming like crazy. If you are sensitive to frequencies above 10khz those tweeters are a problem only being a few degrees off axis. Deffinately not car-friendly.

Yea... 20Hz-120Hz and then 200Hz-5kHz would be about what most of them need... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

These are the exact same tweeters as yours?

Just wondering why the different mounting plate, or whatever it's called. I currently have the morel supremo and hiquophon OW2 tweeters. I got 2 different tweeters because I'd like to compare the difference in sound, but am interested in the scan-speak also, since it is so highly regarded. However would need to have the round mounting plate so I could fit it in, and am wondering what the reason is for having the oval plate.

Thanks!

BTW here is the latest progress picture

The tweeter will go just above the midrange on the Apillar, angled in the same direction as the midrange.

NVM... Don't want to give the wrong impression...
But, I will say this... WOW...
Accurate?

His is oval because it is the modified driver from Genesis.
