Just getting prepared and seeing what i needa save up for.

I think 2x1500d might also be pricier then 1x 3000D

I know the later year hifonics were over rated some... Anybody know how they are now?

or the XX series amps... which are the only hifonics i would touch...
the new crunch amps are supposed to be very good though... there is some stuff on termpro about that.

whats the differance between the XXV and BXI models?

are the XXV's .5 ohm compatible?

Many people do strap them at 1 ohm (1/2 ohm each amp), I generally suggest not doing so for daily applications for long-term longevity. May be okay for a year, two, three perhaps... but not over the long term. It will also be more sensitive to damage when voltage drops compared to simply running @ 2 ohms strapped (1 ohm each amp).

As for some other items:

* The 3000D will burp louder than two 1500Ds in current limited setups, it is more efficient in this type of configuration largely due to the lack of internal fusing.

* Two 1500Ds is actually a bit more powerful than one 3000D when current supply is not limited.

If your referring to teh sticky on teh Sundown forum, that is Jakes inhouse test.

that was my mistake with the mixing up who tested it... I was pretty sure that I saw that Loyd tested it. my bad.

it still says 3237w at 1.33ohms with 10.75v...

I wouldn't run anything from hifonics at less than .7-.8ohms-ish... from what I understand (for the goliath atleast...) the .7ohm load was the lowest you could take it... but if you mean before rise than I could see it working...

I like the XX's better... they are the highpowered hifonics... pass that I am not too sure on the differences

Can i bridge two SAZ-1500D's and have them run at 1 ohm?
the site says there stable at 2 ohms bridged but i know these are very underrated.

What kinda power can i expect out of:

1 at 1 ohm

and

2 at 1 ohm?

Im planning on powering a 18" RE MT [dual 2] with mmats recone

The reason id rather go with 2x SAZ-1500D instead of 1x 3000 is i plainly just cant afford the 3000 ATM but i would like to have atlleast 1 running up within the next month or 2 and add another one when i can afford it.

My budget is tight so if anyone has any better ideas for amps list away.

orion 2500d wouldn't be a bad choice if u can find 1 they do close to 3k with the right electrical . can be had for under 400 if u look around.
