Can i bridge two SAZ-1500D's and have them run at 1 ohm?

the site says there stable at 2 ohms bridged but i know these are very underrated.

What kinda power can i expect out of:

1 at 1 ohm

and

2 at 1 ohm?

Im planning on powering a 18" RE MT [dual 2] with mmats recone

The reason id rather go with 2x SAZ-1500D instead of 1x 3000 is i plainly just cant afford the 3000 ATM but i would like to have atlleast 1 running up within the next month or 2 and add another one when i can afford it.

My budget is tight so if anyone has any better ideas for amps list away.

I see lots of SAZ-1500D going for 325-375 shipped in good condition

how much are the SAZ-3000D's going for?

just realized the sub is dual 2 but the guy hooking me up said the coils read a little lower maybe 1.8 each if it makes any differance.

I would hate to fry 800$ worth of equipment. Or would a bunch of fuses just blow?

personally run a 3000D... if you ran that it would have .9 ohm resistance before rise...

as opposed to voiding your warranty on the 1500's strapped at .9 ohms because each amp would not be covered by the past .5 ohm coverage.

EDIT: OP yes they can do the .5 ohms from all that i have seen, however, it is better not to strap the amps like that unless you know what you are doing.

yes you can run them at that impedance, its the same as running them both at .5 ohms, they wont have a problem with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my $.02 though, dont strap them, just run them each at .5 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How can i run both of them at .5 ohms if Its a dual 2?

am i not seeing it?

not so much....
3000D did 3200w @ 1.3 ohms with 10.75v...thats on their forum read it. Loyd submitted the test results to jacob.

and the 3000 scored louder than the pair of 1500's strapped... from what i saw on the sundown forum...
You no nussin.

Loyd didnt, hasnt tested a 3000d.

If your referring to teh sticky on teh Sundown forum, that is Jakes inhouse test.

2 1500ds Strapped at 2ohms vs 1 3000d at 1ohm.

Its tough.

If you dont have alot of room, go with teh 3000d.

If not, go with 2 1500ds.

To topic Starter, I personally would not run teh 1500ds strapped at 1ohm. Its not gonna gain alot vs current draw at lower ohms.
