mdf dust caking around hot VCs just seems counterproductive to the sound recreation process dont you think? Bust out the vacume?

That's a common mistake for DIY box builders actually. Sawdust + pole vent = bad news.

Working in the log home restoration buisness, there's these neat rags that you can get that will wipe up any sawdust lickty split, instead of clumping it like a regular wet rag can do.

EDIT: And may I ask, what kinda subs are those in yor avatar?? Never seen anything like those...
