Hi there,
I have a bit of a problem for you guys to solve. Here we go:
I have a sound system that includes a Panasonic CQ-1313NW headunit, with an aux input (3.5mm jack) and an orange external mute lead.
My sat nav has a 3.5mm audio output (3.5mm jack).
When the sat nav speaks instructions, I would like the music from the HU to be muted, and the instructions played through the HU. When the sat nav stops talking, I would like the music to resume.
I have heard of telemute leads, however, I am not sure if a signal from an audio output is enough to activate them - do most mobile phones/hands free kits send some sort of a signal to the telemute lead when a call comes in? Is this a viable option?
I'm on a fairly low budget, but I am prepared to do lots of wiring!
Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks in advance,
Calum.
