same groun point used twice....

I don't think it's necessarily a problem, but if it were me I'd want the shortest run of cable going from the power source to the amp. Just wire the amp to the battery terminals and then the battery can use the ground all by its lonesome.

I don't see why everyone wants such a short ground cable. Doesn't it just connect to the chassis, which adds another like 15' minimum of metal to the whole circuit?

ahh i forgot the negative on the battery is the best ground possible.... is it ok to ground a 1800 watt amp to a smaller-ish extra battery?

You're on the right track //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You can run it all the way back to the battery, however long that may be, as long as the cable is properly sized for the current draw.

just to saev a headache of making a new thread (sorry for thread jack)

I'm upgrading the run to my back to a 0ga. I alreayd have a 4ga

the 0ga will be run thru d-block for power wire for my amps

will the 4ga run to the back be enough for me to use as a ground block.

I know people suggest running the same size wire for ground and power, but it it'll work it'll save me money and time.

sorry for the thread jack
